Beets, Kale, Onions, Winter Squash, Rutabaga, Brussel Sprouts, Arugula

Updated: Oct 4, 2021

Beets

Can keep loose in your chill drawer in fridge.

Kale

Place in cold water bath. Spin or shake to dry. Store in a plastic bag (use the one the kale came in!) perforated with tiny holes or keep top open for the kale to "breathe".

Onions

Store in a cool dry spot. On your counter, out of direct sunlight, would be fine.

Winter Squash

Store in a cool dry spot, out of direct sunlight. On your counter is fine. Try to eat within the next week or two.

Rutabagas

Like the beets, keep in your chill drawer of the fridge.

Brussels Sprouts

Trim the heads from the stalk. Keep in a plastic bag or tupperware in the fridge. When ready to eat, wash in a cold water bath then let dry in a colander.

Arugula

Place in a cold water bath. Shake dry or spin to dry. Once relatively dry, put in a plastic bag with perforated holes or leave top of bag open so the leaves can "breathe".
